A year and a half ago, I wrote all of my friends letting them know that I was leaving the helm of Rotten Tomatoes and moving to Asia to pursue new challenges.

At the beginning of this year, I moved to Hong Kong to start a new venture, a social networking web site aimed at providing community tools for artists (filmmakers, musicians, performing artists) and their fans. After four intense months of development, the site was launched and now I’m asking all of my friends to take some time to visit the site:

I'm recruiting web developers for a new project in Hong Kong

I'm sorry to my friends who might be getting this two or three times, but I really need to get the word out there. Patrick, Mark and I are starting a new venture in Hong Kong with Terence called AliveNotDead. Right now, the web site is the official site for "Alive", the Hong Kong band, but our plans are to convert it into something really, really cool. We're already in mid-development but I'm looking for two more qualified team members so I'd appreciate it if you guys could help out by recommending your qualified friends.

On a personal side note, as with Mark and Patrick, I'll be relocating to Hong Kong from Xiamen. I'll probably still be spending 25% of my time in Xiamen to help out with Xiaban.com, but right now our friends Jimmy and Asics are running the site and doing a good job developing a good stream of ad revenue for it. In the meanwhile, I'll be spending most of my energies launching AliveNotDead early next year.

We've spent the last five years building amazing technology, content management systems, and community tools. However, our Chief Technology Officer has moved on to more managerial responsibilities, so we're looking for a team player to work with our engineering team to help craft our future engineer efforts and feature additions.

Hey guys, as you probably know, IGN acquiried Rotten Tomatoes several months back and now we really need help in our ad operations unit.
